HOUSING

How do I find Housing? What resources are available?

There are many community resources that can support people in their efforts to find and obtain affordable and appropriate housing. These resources can include, but are not limited to:

  • Deposit and rent assistance

  • Legal advocacy

  • Renter's rights and responsibilities education

  • Access to home furnishing and necessities

Community Pathways does not provide funds for these services directly. However, it is a part of a personal agent’s case management role to help the individuals they support in navigating and accessing these resources available through other agencies in the community.

Personal agents can also assist individuals in using their individual support plans to hire providers, who can work directly with an individual to support them in areas where they may need additional assistance. This can include, but is not limited to:

  • Researching and touring affordable housing

  • Filling out applications

  • Budgeting

  • Communicating with landlords

Contact your personal agent for more information about housing and to determine what resources and supports are right for you.
