What is a Support Services Brokerage?
In Oregon, support services brokerages help adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) plan for and access the supports they need to live the life they choose in the community.
Brokerages employ personal agents (PAs) who help individuals (customers) plan, manage, and monitor their supports.
What Brokerage Support Services Include
Brokerage support services can include 1:1 attendant care, support in the community, support in a facility, and help with daily living skills. Other services may also be available.
To qualify for brokerage services, you must meet Oregon’s level of care requirements for people with I/DD and have an assessed need for services.
How Brokerage Support Services Work
There are six main steps to becoming and staying a customer of brokerage support services.
The first step of becoming a customer is getting a referral from your local county’s developmental disability program.
